About This Role

Title:

IT Director – Middle East & India KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) is looking for an IT Director to lead IT across the STS business in the Middle East & India to ensure technology enables safe, reliable, and efficient delivery for our clients while supporting business growth. This role will transform IT from a historically transactional, deskside support function into a strategic business partner, establishing a regionally embedded, self-sufficient IT capability aligned with KBR’s global standards and AI and Digital accelerators.

STS in the Middle East and India has scaled significantly in size and complexity. This role will redefine the traditional reliance on UK/US based support model, lead digitally enabled insight-driven delivery to meet client expectation, align with KBR’s ambition for growth to make IT a service differentiator, and ensure AI and Digital enablement and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Alignment and Leadership
  • Develop and deliver a regional IT strategy aligned to STS priorities and KBR global IT frameworks
  • Position IT as a key enabler of project delivery, operational excellence, and growth
  • Act as a strategic partner to regional and project leadership
• Business Integration
  • Embed IT within the business to support project delivery, AI and digital readiness and execution, maintenance operations, and client interfaces
  • Develop a deep understanding of contractual, commercial, and operational drivers
  • Provide clear visibility of IT risks, constraints, and improvement opportunities
• Digital Enablement and Innovation
  • Drive adoption of digital tools and data solutions to improve:
    • Operational efficiency
    • Asset performance
    • Decision-making and reporting
  • Support development of technology-enabled solutions that strengthen KBR’s client offering and differentiation
  • Enable scalable, repeatable solutions across contracts
• Operational IT Delivery
  • Ensure consistent, secure, and reliable delivery of core IT services across the region
  • Transition from basic support to a structured, measured driven regional service model
  • Coordinate regional delivery with KBR global cybersecurity, infrastructure, and governance standards
  • Align IT Regional delivery with KBR AI and Digital strategy and accelerators
• Capability and Operating Model
  • Build and lead a high-performing regional IT offering
  • Reduce reliance on fly-in support from London and Houston
  • Define a clear operating model balancing:
    • Regional capability
    • Global shared services
    • Strategic vendors
    • Cost
• Governance, Risk, & Compliance
  • Ensure full compliance with KBR IT policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage IT-related risks including cybersecurity, data protection, and business continuity
  • Provide transparent reporting to leadership on performance, risks, and investment needs
• Commercial and Client Impact
  • Support business development and bidding activity with innovative IT solutions
  • Ensure IT contributes to margin improvement, cost control, and service excellence
  • Enhance client confidence and retention through reliable and differentiated technology delivery

Qualifications:

• Senior IT leader with experience in engineering, energy, or infrastructure environments
• Proven ability to partner with operations and project delivery teams
• Experience and understanding of Middle East and/or India operations
• Strong track record in IT transformation and regional capability build
• Commercially aware with the ability to link IT to project and contract performance
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field
• 15 + years of directly related experience including 5 + years in management
