Position summary
The IT Business Systems Analyst I supports day-to-day administration and maintenance of assigned business applications.
The position is located at the employer's San Jose office and may require limited job-related travel.
Responsibilities
- Administer application accounts, roles, permissions, security access, system codes, workflows, and configurations.
- Track licenses and assist with reconciliation, renewals, and vendor information.
- Troubleshoot support requests, escalate complex issues, and assist with patches, upgrades, implementations, and user acceptance testing.
- Support data conversion and routine imports, exports, validation, and corrections.
- Maintain application documentation and communicate maintenance, outages, changes, and issue status.
Knowledge and qualifications
- Associate degree in information systems, computer science, business, or a related discipline, plus at least two years of application support or administration experience.
- Working knowledge of application administration, user access, role-based security, system configuration, and license tracking.
- Experience assisting with testing, defect tracking, data validation, upgrades, or enhancements.
- Strong communication, customer-service, recordkeeping, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
- Understanding of confidentiality, least-privilege access, change control, and sensitive-data handling.
Tools and preferred experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Business-application experience in operations, finance, sales, fleet and asset maintenance, environmental health and safety, contract management, HR, or payroll is helpful.
- Exposure to AMCS Tower, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dodge, or Microsoft Fabric is preferred.
