Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret software licenses, product use rights, contractual entitlements, and product metrics to ensure compliance.
• Collect, cleanse, and normalize software and hardware discovery and inventory data.
• Maintain license management processes, License Position Reports, and hardware inventory reports.
• Monitor contract compliance, support compliance audits, and promote asset management controls.
• Analyze consumption trends, deployment plans, anticipated demand, budgets, and forecasts.
• Support renewal negotiations with publishers and monitor asset utilization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve software and hardware asset management processes.

Technical Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in software and hardware asset management, IT asset management, CMDB, or software procurement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience engaging stakeholders across levels and countries.
• Experience interpreting license and contractual terms and analyzing purchase records.
• Experience managing license compliance for Tier 1 publishers including Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe, and VMware.
• Knowledge of software licensing models and metrics.
• Working knowledge of SAM or HAM tools, including Flexera, SAM Pro, or related platforms.
• Experience developing corporate or departmental software and hardware policies and procedures is preferred.
• Experience with discovery tools including SCCM, JAMF, and ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of hardware asset lifecycle management, sustainability concepts, and related KPIs.
• Experience driving cost-saving and cost-avoidance initiatives using Tableau, JIRA, and ServiceNow Performance Analytics.
