Role
The Investment Operations Specialist is the execution layer of the Investment Operations function.
The role is responsible for running the daily operational workflows that keep investment activity accurate, documented, and on time.
Responsibilities
- Trade Operations: Maintain the trade log and track instructions, execution confirmations, and settlement status with accuracy and discipline.
- Reconciliation: Run cash and position reconciliation against custodian and bank records; identify and resolve discrepancies within defined timeframes.
- Counterparty Management: Support asset manager and counterparty onboarding by collecting and maintaining documentation and settlement records.
- Process Support: Operate across operational systems and platforms; support improvement initiatives; document exceptions and flag inefficiencies.
- Reporting: Organize operational data and prepare required reports accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CME 4 is required.
- Experience: 0 to 2 years in investment operations, fund administration, or a related middle-office function.
- Technical Skills: Comfortable operating across financial systems and platforms; strong attention to detail in reconciliation and data management.
- Process Orientation: Proven ability to build and improve processes, not just run them.
- Work Style: Organized and deadline-driven with a clear sense of ownership over daily tasks.
- Communication: Clear communicator who exercises independent judgment and escalates with context.
