Job Summary
The Investment Operations Officer –is responsible for the daily operations of investment funds, ensuring smooth transaction processing, Support in client onboarding, regulatory compliance, and coordination with outsourced service providers.
Additionally, the role includes supporting the firm’s Investments Operations department in financial reporting, bookkeeping, and audit preparations.
1. Fund Operations
Assist in managing day-to-day fund operations, including processing transactions, conducting reconciliations, and maintaining operational reports.
Ensure the accurate and timely execution of fund subscriptions, redemptions, and NAV calculations.
Manage and monitor fund cash flows, settlements, and reconciliations.
Coordinate with fund managers and administrators to ensure accurate and efficient fund operation workflows.
Ensure all funds comply with Capital Market Authority (CMA) regulations and internal policies.
Prepare and submit regulatory reports to the CMA and other relevant authorities.
Act as a key liaison between fund managers, administrators, custodians, brokers, and other service providers to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain operational procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk.
2. Administration (In-House & Outsourced)
Support the onboarding process for new fund investors, ensuring compliance with KYC/AML requirements.
Coordinate with outsourced fund administrators on accounting, NAV calculations, investor reporting, and fund compliance.
Oversee daily transactions related to fund operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance.
Support in handling corporate actions, dividends, and other fund-related financial events.
Ensure all required operational documentation is maintained and up to date.
Assist in audit preparation by providing necessary fund-related records and reports.
3. Accounting & Financial Support
Support the firm's Investment Operations department with daily financial transactions and bookkeeping of the Funds.
Assist in payment processing, invoice reconciliation, and fund-related expense management.
Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate fund-related financial audits and regulatory inspections.
Ensure accurate financial reporting for fund operations in coordination with accounting teams.
Support in budgeting and cash flow management for fund-related activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in fund operations, investment management, or financial services.
Strong knowledge of Capital Market Authority (CMA) regulations and fund compliance requirements.
Experience working with fund managers, fund administrators, custodians, and auditors.
Proficiency in fund accounting software and financial reporting tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet regulatory deadlines.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
