Role Overview
Talisman Ventures is launching a $50 million fund to invest in 10–12 post-product-market-fit companies shaping the global sports economy.
The fund targets areas including AI, technology, media, commerce, fan engagement, performance, and live experiences.
The investment model pairs capital with operating support to help portfolio companies accelerate revenue, partnerships, and enterprise value.
The intern will work with the Founder and Managing Partner and the senior investment and operating team, with exposure to the investment lifecycle and building the fund.

Opportunity
Talisman Ventures is launching a $50 million fund to invest in 10–12 post-product-market-fit companies shaping the global sports economy.

The intern will work with the Founder and Managing Partner and the senior investment and operating team, with exposure to the investment lifecycle and building the fund.
Investment and research work
- Source opportunities, build market maps, and identify emerging categories across sport, technology, and culture.
- Analyze business models, financials, markets, founders, competitors, valuations, and return potential.
- Turn research and diligence into investment memos and Investment Committee materials.
- Develop theses on the sports economy, including AI, performance technology, direct-to-fan commerce, women's sports, ticketing, and prediction markets.
Portfolio and fund support
- Support portfolio companies with commercial strategy, partnerships, international expansion, follow-on capital, and potential exit pathways.
- Gain exposure to portfolio construction, investment processes, LP strategy, co-investment, and the mechanics of building an institutional investment platform.
Candidate profile
- Undergraduate, postgraduate, or recent graduate.
- Analytical and numerate, with comfort in financial modeling.
- Strong researcher and clear writer; commercially curious about why businesses succeed or fail.
- Interested in venture capital, technology, AI, and company building; comfortable working without a playbook.
- Globally minded and ambitious.
- VC, PE, investment banking, consulting, or startup experience is valuable but not essential.
- A serious interest in sport is helpful; commercial thinking about sport matters more than being a sports fan.
