Inventory Purchasing Analyst

Position overview

Responsibilities

• Plan beverage purchase orders using sales forecasts, historical trends, promotions, and inventory targets.
• Monitor inventory levels, days on hand, safety stock, freshness, and supplier lead times; adjust orders as demand changes.
• Analyze shortages and overstock, coordinate supplier allocations and deliveries, and help prevent recurring issues.
• Coordinate inbound appointments and shipments with suppliers, carriers, and warehouse receiving teams.
• Manage seasonal, new-item, promotional, and chain-program orders; reconcile supplier confirmations with purchase orders.
• Communicate order status and supply issues; maintain ordering, item, and supplier data in VIP Beverage and Order Stream.
• Monitor performance metrics and support reporting, demand planning, inventory reviews, and process improvement.

Requirements and education

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work with technology, applications, and an iPad; reliable transportation is required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel and inventory management systems; VIP experience is preferred.
• Beverage distribution, supplier ordering-cycle, and freshness-management knowledge is preferred.
