Inventory Manager - Landscaping / Contracting / Construction

About This Role

Job Purpose:

The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all inventory operations across multiple project sites and warehouses, ensuring accurate stock levels, efficient material flow, and cost-effective procurement support for landscaping, contracting, and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and control all inventory for materials, tools, equipment, and consumables across sites and warehouses
• Maintain accurate stock records and ensure real-time inventory tracking
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment to avoid shortages or overstocking
• Implement and maintain inventory control systems and procedures
• Conduct regular stock counts, audits, and reconciliation reports
• Coordinate with procurement, project, and site teams to forecast material requirements
• Track movement of materials between warehouse and project sites
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and organization of materials to minimize damage and loss
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and recommend disposal or utilization strategies
• Prepare inventory reports, usage analysis, and cost control reports for management
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and audit requirements
• Supervise storekeepers and warehouse staff (if applicable)

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
• 4–8 years of experience in inventory management within construction, landscaping, or contracting
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, tools, and site operations
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar inventory modules)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills
• Ability to manage multiple project sites and tight deadlines
• Good communication and coordination skills
