Inventory Controller & Purchasing

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records for all branches; conduct physical stock counts and reconcile them with system records.
• Compare supplier prices and check delivered items for quantity, quality, expiry dates, and condition.
• Record purchases, receipts, transfers, wastage, and adjustments; monitor shortages, excess, damaged, and expired stock.
• Follow FIFO and proper storage procedures; coordinate daily and weekly stock requirements with branches.
• Monitor purchasing costs and identify ways to reduce wastage and expenses.
• Ensure purchases have approvals and supporting invoices; report variances, purchasing issues, and supplier problems to management.
• Maintain purchase order, invoice, quotation, and stock report records.
• Prevent unauthorized purchases and removal of company stock; perform other assigned inventory and purchasing duties.

Requirements and skills

• At least 1–2 years of experience in restaurant inventory and cost-control roles, preferably in a similar capacity.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Analytical skills, effective communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
• A relevant logistics or supply chain certification or diploma is mentioned.

Pay

• AED 2,500–3,000 per month.
