Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Interventional Radiologist role based in Bengaluru.
The Interventional Radiologist will perform minimally invasive image-guided procedures, including vascular and non-vascular interventions, using advanced radiological and fluoroscopic equipment.
Responsibilities include reviewing imaging studies, assessing patient history, planning procedures, and collaborating with referring physicians to determine appropriate interventions.
The role involves performing procedures such as Mechanical Thrombectomy, stenting, embolization, biopsies, and drainage, while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and radiation protection standards.
The Interventional Radiologist will also provide pre- and post-procedure patient counseling.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and MD/DNB in Radiology along with DM/DNB in Neuro intervention and or GI interventions
- Advanced expertise in Radiology, including diagnostic imaging interpretation, Ultrasound, CT, and fluoroscopy for image-guided procedures.
- Specialized skills in Interventional Radiology, including planning and performing minimally invasive vascular and non-vascular procedures.
- Knowledge of Vascular interventions such as Stroke interventions, stenting, thrombolysis, and embolization, with an understanding of vascular anatomy and pathology.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, infection control, and radiation safety standards.
- Experience in a tertiary-care or multi-specialty hospital setting is preferred.
