An internship is a temporary position within 3M.
Packaging Solutions Co-ops typically work a full-time schedule throughout a 20-22 week assignment.
This position is limited to working 899 hours per service credit year. 3M provides eligible interns with a housing and transportation stipend in accordance with current policy.
This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Packaging Solutions Co-op, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:
• Developing and implementing creative and innovative package solutions that span across all three business groups in collaboration with cross-functional team members
• Supporting the modification and improvement of existing package designs, methods and/or solutions
• Performing and coordinating package testing according to established protocols
• Working with suppliers of packaging materials and/or contract packaging vendors to obtain price/cost estimates, sample/material needs, and design requirements
• Creating, maintaining, obtaining, and analyzing packaging data that enables improvements in the packaging implementation and optimization process

Work location:
- Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
- Relocation: 3M provides eligible interns with a housing and transportation stipend in accordance with current policy.
