Job Title: International Trade & Brokerage Operations Manager

Industry: Duty Free / International Trading (FMCG, Tobacco & Beverages)

Job Purpose:

To lead and scale international back-to-back trading operations. The role goes beyond logistics; it requires a strategic leader to manage global supplier relations, identify new market opportunities, and maximize profitability through advanced trade finance and margin optimization.

To manage and execute international back-to-back trading operations, leveraging the company’s government licenses and global contracts to facilitate trade between international suppliers and global customers. The role focuses on maximizing profitability and cash flow through advanced trade finance instruments with minimal capital expenditure.

Key Responsibilities:

Back-to-Back Trading: Manage the full cycle of brokerage deals from receiving a Purchase Order (PO) to final delivery.

Trade Finance: Execute and manage Back-to-Back Letters of Credit (LCs) and ensure smooth financial flows between customers and suppliers.

Documentation Management: Expertly handle "Switch Bill of Lading" processes to protect supplier/customer confidentiality and company margins.

Supplier Relations: Liaise with global brands (e.g., Philip Morris, Nemiroff, etc.) to secure Tier-1 pricing and increase quotas.

Logistics Coordination: Oversee international transit shipments and ensure alignment with bonded warehouse operations in Iraq and regional ports.

Business Development: Identify and onboard new global wholesalers and distributors in emerging markets.

Requirements:

5-7 years of experience in International Trade, Trade Finance, or Duty-Free operations.

Deep knowledge of UCP 600 and international banking practices in Dubai.

Proven track record in handling Switch BL and complex shipping documents.

Fluency in English and Arabic (Written & Spoken).

Strong negotiation skills and ability to calculate complex trade margins.

Key Responsibilities Commercial & Strategic Management

• EN: Build and maintain Tier-1 relationships with global suppliers to secure better pricing and increase annual quotas.
• EN: Proactively identify and onboard new wholesalers and distributors in emerging markets (Africa, CIS, Europe).
• EN: Develop and implement growth strategies to expand the company’s trading footprint globally.

2. Trading Operations & Documentation

• EN: Manage the full cycle of back-to-back deals, ensuring 100% confidentiality via expert "Switch Bill of Lading" processes.
• EN: Oversee complex transit shipments and coordinate with bonded warehouses in Iraq and UAE ports.

3. Trade Finance & Profitability

• EN: Execute Back-to-Back Letters of Credit (LCs) and manage financial flows to optimize cash flow and minimize Capex.
• EN: Calculate complex trade margins and implement cost-saving initiatives in logistics and finance.

Requirements

• EN: 5-7 years of experience in International Trade, Trade Finance, or Duty-Free operations with a proven commercial track record.
• EN: Expert knowledge of UCP 600 and Dubai/Global banking practices.
• EN: Mastery of Switch BL, transit documentation, and Excise Tax regulations.
• EN: Fluency in English and Arabic (Written & Spoken) is mandatory.
• EN: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to think like a business owner.
