Role overview

Audit responsibilities

• Build an understanding of the organization's business and processes and apply effective internal audit approaches.
• Contribute to regular and ad hoc audits across functions, including investments.
• Assist with audit planning, including notification letters, opening meeting agendas and meetings, audit programs, and audit summary memoranda.
• Coordinate audit schedules and scope with relevant managers.
• Audit departmental processes and records to identify risk or control deficiencies, duplicated efforts, fraud red flags, and noncompliance.
• Review internal controls, processes, and policies; identify risks and recommend ways to mitigate them and protect organizational assets and interests.
• Prepare draft findings for review; document findings and discuss observations and recommendations with audit leadership.
• Report regular audit status covering work completed, scope, materiality, findings, observations, and recommendations.
• Support audit activities for portfolio companies as needed and assist with departmental administration.
• Follow the department's Internal Audit Manual and IIA IPPF standards; perform follow-up audits of agreed actions from issued reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Studies toward relevant professional certificates are required.
• Fresh graduate to 4 years of relevant experience.
• Financial services experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of IAS/IFRS, audit reporting, compliance, and financial interpretations.
• Knowledge of IIA Standards for the IPPF or an equivalent audit standard.
