About This Role
GAL is currently seeking to hire a Manager – Internal Audit to join our HQ team in Abu Dhabi.
The selected candidate will be responsible for leading and managing risk-based internal audit activities across the organization to strengthen governance, internal controls, compliance, and operational effectiveness in line with international audit standards and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise internal audit engagements across business functions
- Develop and execute risk-based audit plans and audit initiatives
- Assess adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk mitigation measures
- Review audit documentation and ensure compliance with audit methodology and quality standards
- Conduct investigations, advisory assignments, and special audits
- Support management in identifying and mitigating financial and operational risks
- Engage with key stakeholders across the organization and provide value-added recommendations
- Contribute to strengthening the overall control and governance environment
- Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms for audit monitoring and reporting purposes
- Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
- Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, or CPA is mandatory
- CIA and/or CFE certifications are highly preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience within Internal Audit in large organizations
- Minimum 3 years of managerial-level experience
- Experience auditing treasury, investment, and insurance products is highly desirable
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and project management skills
