The employer seeks Financial Internal Auditors for a client in Qatar.
The role evaluates financial and operational processes for accuracy, efficiency, and compliance while strengthening controls, identifying risks, and supporting governance.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct internal audits of financial and operational controls and review processes for policy and regulatory compliance.
- Identify fraud, waste, inefficiencies, and control weaknesses; evaluate controls and recommend improvements.
- Assess adherence to IFRS, GAAP, and other applicable regulations.
- Prepare audit reports with findings, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations; present results to management.
- Monitor findings and follow up on corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement across finance and operational functions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in internal, financial, or operational auditing.
- Telecom or IT company experience is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and risk management.
- Experience identifying process gaps and recommending practical solutions.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, reporting, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- The description states a minimum of 8–20 years of relevant experience, varying by Officer, Senior, or Expert level.
Preferred certifications
- CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with GSAS standards related to building management and sustainability is an advantage.
