Job Purpose:

  • Our Planning Internship is broad based in scope and may cover the areas of Demand/Deployment Planning, Logistics/Transportation and Customer Service.
  • We have one goal: getting you concrete experience. These are full-time, paid internship positions where you will work on real projects with real results.
  • Potential Projects:
  • Raw material optimization analysis – Evaluate positioning of raw material storage to ensure the most efficient means of getting the product to the point of use while effectively managing costs. Recommend a repeatable process for future evaluations. Safety stock analysis is included.
  • Slow Moving/Obsolete Inventory Analysis – Evaluate slow moving and obsolete inventory and recommend an effective tracking tool that creates ongoing visibility to best address these items in a timely manner to more effectively use warehouse space.
  • We also offer additional opportunities from social events and facility tours, to lunch and learns’ with company executives and other interns that allow you to network, and gain a broader understanding of First Quality and its functions. At the conclusion of the summer, all interns will present their achievements to leaders at their location.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or demonstrated progress toward a degree) in related field of study
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • 0-3 years of experience, including academic projects
  • Highly motivated, strong team player, with good ability to multi-task and re-prioritize as necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Open to relocate anywhere in the U.S.
