Job Description

-------------------

The APJMEA Finance team partners with the business across the region’s markets and legal entities to plan, protect, and grow performance.

We are looking for a curious, numerate, and proactive Finance Intern to join us on a structured rotation across our core finance functions.

This is not a fetch-and-carry internship.

You will sit inside real teams, own genuine pieces of the day-to-day work, and learn the trade by contributing to it.

You’ll see how a regional finance function actually runs — from the ledger to the boardroom — and you’ll have the chance to help us work smarter by getting involved in our automation and analytics initiatives.

The rotation

Over the programme you will rotate through four functions, spending a meaningful block of time in each so you build real competence rather than a surface tour:

Accounting & Control

Support month-end close, journal preparation, reconciliations, and intercompany activity across the region’s legal entities.

Learn how transactions flow through the ERP and how a clean set of books gets produced.

Fp&A (Financial Planning & Analysis)

Help build and maintain budgets, forecasts, and management reporting.

Contribute to variance analysis (actuals vs. budget / forecast) and learn how the numbers turn into commentary and decisions.

Commercial Finance

Work alongside the team that partners with Sales and the business on deals, pricing, and performance.

Get exposure to how commercial decisions are evaluated and how finance supports growth.

Cash Collection (Ar)

Support accounts receivable and collections activity — tracking outstanding balances, helping prepare reporting, and learning how strong customer relationships and disciplined process keep cash flowing.

What you’ll do

– Provide day-to-day support on business-as-usual activities within whichever function you are rotating through, working to real deadlines alongside the team

– Prepare, check, and reconcile data and reporting to a high standard of accuracy

– Help maintain trackers, schedules, and management reporting used by the team and leadership

– Get involved in automation and process-improvement initiatives — identifying manual, repetitive tasks and helping streamline them (e.g. spreadsheet automation, reporting templates, light tooling)

– Bring a fresh pair of eyes: ask good questions, document how things work, and suggest improvements

– Learn continuously — from the people around you, from the systems, and from owning your own deliverables

What you’ll gain

– A genuine, end-to-end view of how a regional finance function operates across multiple markets and entities

– Hands-on experience in four distinct finance disciplines within a single programme

– Practical skills in financial reporting, analysis, and finance systems

– Exposure to automation and analytics — increasingly the difference between a good finance professional and a great one

– Mentorship from experienced finance professionals and direct visibility to regional finance leadership

Qualifications

------------------

Essential

– Working towards or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

– Strong numerical and analytical ability, with a careful eye for accuracy

– Confident with Excel; comfortable working with data

– Proactive, organised, and able to manage your own tasks to deadlines

– Genuinely curious — you want to understand why, not just complete the task

– Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude

Nice to have

– Exposure to an ERP system or financial reporting tools

– Interest or experience in automation, scripting, or data tools (e.g.

Power Query, Python, BI tools)

– Progress towards a professional qualification (e.g.

ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
