Role overview

The Data Analytics Engineering Intern works with cross-functional teams to develop tools and data structures.

The role owns recommendations and resolution of a business problem from identification through deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Transform data into data lake and Snowflake structures used for business decisions.
  • Create, enhance, and maintain data processes.
  • Ensure data is high quality, trustworthy, documented, and easy to use.
  • Build, automate, and maintain business reporting and visualizations.
  • Analyze large and diverse datasets.

Basic qualification

  • Will obtain a bachelor’s degree or higher between September 2027 and September 2028.

Preferred qualifications

  • A quantitative bachelor’s degree and strong programming background are preferred.
  • SQL and/or data transformation tools such as dbt are preferred; Python experience is an asset.
  • Data pipeline experience, Unix/Linux, Git, AWS, or API experience are preferred.
  • Ability to shape requirements into solutions and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and previous internship experience are preferred.

Workplace

  • The position follows a hybrid model with three days in the office per week.

Compensation

  • Expected pay is $33.33 to $48.72 per hour.
