Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain analytical data models and SQL-based transformations and pipelines.
- Contribute to data quality checks, validation logic, and data products for business and engineering teams.
- Work with orchestration tools and scheduled workflows; participate in discussions about modeling, metrics, and definitions.
- Investigate data issues and root causes, and improve data-processing reliability and cost efficiency.
Required background
- Strong SQL fundamentals and good working knowledge of Python for data processing.
- Understand relational models, basic data modeling, and how analytical data supports reporting and decisions.
- Be able to read, understand, and modify existing pipelines or models; have structured thinking and attention to correctness.
- English sufficient for documentation and team communication; openness to constructive feedback.
- Current students and fresh graduates are welcome. Full-time-level engagement is expected, with class or exam schedules coordinated with a mentor in advance.
Additional relevant experience
- Experience with Git and standard development workflows is listed.
- Familiarity with star schemas, slowly changing dimensions, dbt or similar, Airflow or similar, BigQuery or similar, and BI or visualization tools is beneficial.
- Expert-level SQL or Python, prior professional data engineering experience, mastery of all listed tools, and deep warehouse or distributed-processing knowledge are not required.
Internship details
- Paid, six-month internship funded by Tabby, starting autumn 2026.
- Full integration into an engineering team distributed across multiple countries.
- A future junior data engineer or analytics engineer role is an intended possibility, not a guarantee.
