The anticipated base salary range for this position is $20 to $25 per hour. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well-being, professional development, and work-life balance.   • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. No sponsorship is available for this position.
  • Ramboll is accepting applications for the Summer 2027 internship program at our offices located in Syracuse, New York. Each participant will be assigned a mentor who will guide them through project assignments. The program will provide internship participants with the opportunity to gain experience working in one or more practice areas. Our goal is to afford our interns experience with a variety of projects during the summer program to broaden their understanding and experience within their field of interest. The work environment will be mostly in the office and with the potential for work in the field. In addition to hand-on environmental consulting experience, Syracuse interns will also participate in a series of web-based interactive workshops along with the other Summer 2027 Ramboll interns across the U.S.
  • Qualified candidates will be contacted for interviews in a virtual setting. Interns will be paid on an hourly basis and will be overtime eligible. Housing and relocation expenses are the responsibility of the intern.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should be working towards a B.S or M.S degree in Chemical, Civil, Geological, or Environmental Engineering; and have an interest in pursuing a career in environmental/civil engineering or consulting.
  • Candidates with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above are strongly preferred.
  • The physical requirements of this position may include the need for climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing/sitting/walking, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 40 lbs. In certain situations, this position may expose the candidate to extremes in weather (hot/cold); to high noise levels, and to hazards such as a proximity to moving machine parts and moving vehicles, electrical current and exposure to chemicals.
