Interior Upholstery Technician

As an interior upholstery technician you will be responsible for the r epair, refurbishment and reinstallation of interior upholstery components on world class business aircraft. Some of the tasks required include general upholstery on aircraft - seats, panels and other interior items. Our upholstery techs are also responsible for removal and installation of seats, disassembly, cleaning, repair and modifications of components as needed. Job duties will vary each day and are designated by the Team Leader in charge of that project.

Performing basic to advanced foam build ups, patterning and sewing of seat parts and other upholstery items..

Ability to perform minor modifications,

Perform daily turnover sheets

Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling

Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases

Cleanliness of shop and surroundings

Work independently when required

Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English

Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

A High school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not required

Technician I: 0-2 years’ experience as a seamstress or other similar trade

Technician II: 2-5 years’ experience working on aircraft seats and upholstery

Technician III: 5+ years’ experience working on aircraft seats and upholstery
