Role overview
Full-time Interior Fit-Out Site Engineer role based in Festival City, Dubai.
The role supervises and coordinates on-site interior fit-out activities against approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.
Site delivery and coordination
- Supervise daily fit-out and finishing activities, including gypsum, painting, tiling, flooring, joinery, carpentry, cladding, wallpaper, glass, and decorative finishes.
- Coordinate MEP subcontractors and resolve technical discrepancies with the technical team using approved drawings and specifications.
- Plan daily work, monitor schedules, allocate resources, and supervise subcontractors, technicians, and site workers.
- Inspect quality, identify defects, coordinate corrective actions, and verify dimensions, setting-out, and installation accuracy.
- Coordinate material requests, deliveries, quantities, and availability with procurement.
- Ensure site health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Prepare progress reports and inspection records; report delays, technical issues, and resource needs to the Project Manager.
- Coordinate consultant and client inspections, approvals, snagging, rectification, handover, and close-out.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Three to five years of relevant interior fit-out and finishing experience; UAE experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of finishing materials, construction methods, installation procedures, and architectural and shop drawings.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; project scheduling software experience is advantageous.
- Experience coordinating MEP activities with architectural and finishing work.
- Site supervision, subcontractor management, problem-solving, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple site activities, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality workmanship.
- Good English communication and reporting skills; Arabic is an advantage.
- Knowledge of UAE construction practices, site safety, and consultant inspection procedures.
- UAE driving licence and immediate availability are preferred.
