Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Surat.
The Interior Designer will develop design concepts, mood boards, and material palettes for residential, commercial, and corporate projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and the firm’s design standards.
Responsibilities include preparing space plans, interior layouts, and 2D/3D presentations; coordinating construction drawings and details in collaboration with architects and engineers; and selecting FF&E, finishes, and fixtures that balance aesthetics, performance, and sustainability.
The role involves attending client meetings, documenting requirements, presenting design options, and incorporating feedback into refined schemes.
The Interior Designer will also coordinate with vendors and contractors, support site reviews to track quality and design intent, and assist with project documentation and timelines.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to translate client requirements into functional, aesthetic design solutions.
- Foundational understanding of Architecture and building systems to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Experience producing detailed Construction Drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and joinery details for execution.
- Strong FF&E knowledge, including selection and specification of furniture, fixtures, lighting, fabrics, and finishes suitable for varied project types.
- Skill with design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or similar), and proficiency in presentation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office).
- Awareness of sustainable design principles; familiarity with green building standards (e.g., LEED or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Excellent visual communication, documentation, and client-facing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced studio environment.
