Role Description

The Interior Designer & Furniture Coordinator is responsible for managing interior design activities alongside furniture planning, procurement, and coordination.

The role ensures alignment between design standards, project requirements, vendor deliverables, and project timelines—from concept development through to execution and project closeout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare layouts and make sure it's as per SNB furniture standard.
  • Review provided layout and make sure it's as per SNB furniture standard.
  • Request furniture vendors proposals as per reviewed layout and standard.
  • Review provided furniture proposals and make sure it's as per SNB furniture standard and layout.
  • §Send furniture proposals to concern person to raise it in the system.
  • Follow-up up furniture vendors POs issuance with concern persons.
  • Review issued furniture POs and ensure it covered all project required items.
  • Review construction weekly report and ensure all started construction projects the furniture is requested.
  • Conduct a meeting regularly to avoid any issues in delivery and fabrication stage.
  • Do the necessary coordination’s once received delivery request from PM and provide him confirmed furniture delivery date.
  • Follow up delivery stage and inform PM once furniture delivery finished with visual photos and raise any missing items or issues to PM.
  • Provide furniture weekly progress report in approved format.
  • Provide furniture vendors evaluation report after finished project.
  • Manage furniture vendors invoices.
  • Manage furniture vendors warranty certificates after finished project.
  • Manage furniture vendors enhancements.
  • Manage to arrange any furniture proposals requests.
  • Supporting design team with the furniture standard items CAD files.
  • Manage furniture Projects documentation and archiving.
  • Outline client design objectives.
  • Conceptualize and sketch design plans.
  • Determine cost of completion and project requirements in the budgeting phase.
  • Set a timeline for the completion of an interior design project.
  • Source materials and products included in plans.
  • Create 'mood boards' to sample your design vision.
  • Utilize computer applications in the design process.
  • Inspect design after completion to determine whether client goals have been met.
  • Undertake design project from concept to completion.
  • Work closely with designers, decorators, architects and constructors.
  • Prepare architecture design based on design requirements and submit architectural designs to management for review and approval.
  • Oversee overall management, provide support and guide designers involved in preparing drawings. Review design requirements and determine best design options for building project.
  • Provide support in using design tools (e.g. CAD) effectively to draft design drawings including 3D models and renderings interior and exterior.
  • Modify and update designs based on review comments from management.
  • Evaluate site conditions and constraints for construction projects.
  • Maintain all the documentations related to architectural designs and construction conditions.
  • Provide project status updates to management and stakeholders on regular basis.
  • Manage and execute design assignments in a timely manner.
  • Make all the necessary modifications to the drawings in accordance with the requirements in order to accommodate existing staff.
  • Meetings with the contractor to explain the drawings of the branch & material specification.
  • Assisting the Client to approve the material samples.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Degree in Architecture or Bachelor's degree in interior design or related field.
  • Portfolio of design work.
  • Experience in Furniture matters.
  • Experience with computational design.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in architecture, Design and 3d modeling (AutoCAD, Revit, Lumion 3ds max, SketchUp etc.)
  • Project management skills.
  • Communication skills.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Planning and organizing skills.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Interior design.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Must be Very Good in English, Arabic & a third language would be an advantage - Using the Windows environment - Sales ability.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
