Responsibilities

• Support Senior Interior Designers in the development of design concepts, space planning, and material selection.
• Create compelling design presentations and mood boards to communicate ideas effectively to clients.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and schedules for interior construction, lighting layouts, space planning, furnishings, and fixtures.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to procure materials and services aligned with project requirements and timelines.
• Assist in coordinating the work of junior team members and subconsultants involved in the project.
• Participate in site visits to verify that design implementations align with approved plans and specifications.
• Cross-check all work against the project brief and sub-consultant inputs before submitting to the Senior Interior Designer.
• Understand and adhere to the company’s operational standards and construction detailing practices.
• Submit accurate timesheets by the close of business each working day.
• Ensure personal adherence to company’s operational standards and assist in enforcing them across the interior design team.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and are approved by the appropriate local authorities.
• Deliver project documentation according to the agreed programme; notify the Senior Interior Designer immediately if delays occur and confirm a revised delivery schedule.
• Communicate any design changes that may impact time or cost to the Senior Interior Designer and Project Management team.
• Maintain full awareness of project details, including key sub-consultant contacts.
• Post-contract: Monitor contractor progress on-site, attend site meetings as required, document meeting minutes, and issue instructions as necessary to align with the contractor’s programme.
• Ensure contractor adherence to specifications and design details as outlined in contract documents; take proactive steps to resolve missing or uncoordinated information to prevent delays.
