Interior Design Draftsman

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings, including sections, elevations, floor plans, furniture plans, ceiling plans, and lighting plans.
• Translate architects’ and designers’ concepts into precise technical drawings using CAD and/or Revit.
• Produce accurate drawings reflecting measurements, calculations, and construction standards.
• Ensure drawings comply with local building codes, zoning laws, and company drafting standards.
• Identify and communicate potential design issues or conflicts.
• Develop millwork, cabinetry, lighting layouts, and custom furniture designs.
• Collaborate with design and architecture teams and coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Revise drawings based on client feedback and team revisions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in a similar role; UAE experience with high-rise projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software; AutoCAD is essential and Revit knowledge is a plus.
• Strong understanding of drafting standards, building codes, and construction documentation.
• High attention to detail, precision in technical drawing, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong written and verbal English skills.
