Role Description
This full-time, on-site Interior Architect role is based in our Hong Kong SAR studio.
The Interior Architect will collaborate with architects and designers to develop interior concepts, layouts, and details for projects across residential, commercial, cultural, and mixed-use sectors.
Daily tasks include space planning, preparing design presentations, producing drawings and specifications, coordinating interior fit-out details, and reviewing materials, finishes, and furniture selections.
The role involves close coordination with consultants, contractors, and suppliers, as well as supporting site visits and inspections to monitor design quality and implementation.
The Interior Architect will also contribute to project documentation, design reviews, and internal critiques to ensure cohesive and high-quality interior architecture aligned with Farrells’ design vision.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Interior Architecture and Architecture, with the ability to integrate interior design with overall building concepts.
- Proficiency in Interior Design and Interior Fit-out, including materials, finishes, joinery, and detailing for built environments.
- Demonstrated experience in Space Planning, optimizing layouts for functionality, user experience, and building regulations.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Interior Architecture, Architecture, Interior Design, or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite or similar).
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate design ideas clearly through drawings, visuals, and presentations.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced studio environment.
- Experience on interior projects in Hong Kong or the wider region, and familiarity with local codes and standards, is an advantage.
- Professional experience with site coordination, consultant liaison, and contractor communication is beneficial.
- Fluency in English, Cantonese & Mandarin are required; additional language skills relevant to the region are an asset.
