Intelligence Mission Data Systems Analyst

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Identify and define business requirements with users and customers.
• Facilitate workshops to develop system use cases and information flows.
• Develop system requirement specifications and maintain traceability to business requirements.
• Develop system specifications into solution concepts and contribute to system development and design.
• Provide technical solution alternatives and conduct options analysis.
• Evaluate technical solutions and products for suitability and compliance with system requirements.
• Assess organizational impacts and integrate technical solutions with existing business processes.
• Participate in solution testing and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Prepare briefing notes, presentations, meeting materials, and weekly progress reports.

Requirements

• A degree or diploma in sciences, engineering, or IM/IT-related studies is required.
• 10+ years of recent experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for new IM/IT systems is required.
• 10+ years of recent experience translating business requirements into system specifications and designs, including traceability, is required.
• 10+ years of recent experience analyzing and recommending IM/IT alternatives and options is required.
• 7+ years of recent experience developing system use cases or storyboards is required.
• 7+ years of recent experience analyzing technical specifications for system development, design, and implementation is required.
• 7+ years of recent experience integrating technical requirements with existing processes is required.
• 7+ years of recent experience planning for organizational impacts of planned systems is required.
• Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a high-level Canadian Federal Government security clearance.

Salary

• Salary is $125,000 to $140,000 CAD annually.
