Integration Engineer 4 (IBM MQ)

Role overview

What you’ll do

• Manage IBM MQ availability, capacity, and performance for critical applications and services.
• Design and operate IBM MQ clusters; configure services, upgrades, channels, topics, and queues.
• Resolve security vulnerabilities, manage disaster-recovery events, and automate IBM MQ server deployment and management.
• Work with application owners on desired capabilities and testing scenarios.
• Design, develop, and implement robust integration solutions in AWS.
• Improve software-engineering practices, explore new technologies, and mentor engineering colleagues.
• Lead technical integration for major initiatives in partnership with software, data, and infrastructure teams.

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least four years designing and maintaining cross-platform or cloud integrations.
• At least three years automating system configuration or data workflows.

Preferred qualifications

• Two or more years with deployment tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization, AI tooling, or reusable integration frameworks.
• Familiarity with CloudWatch, Splunk, or New Relic for integration monitoring and reliability.

Compensation

• For Chicago, the stated full-time annual salary range is $149,800–$171,000.
• The role may also be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation.
