Job Description
- For our customer a major bank in the UAE we are looking for a Platform Integration Specialist
- The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing complex system integrations across investment banking and global markets technology landscape.
- The ideal candidate brings proven experience working with industry-leading platforms across trade execution, trade processing and market data, and is equally comfortable engaging with technology vendors during RFPs working in close collaboration with internal and vendor architecture teams.
- General expectation
- Lead global markets technology integration initiatives.
- Act as central coordinator across architecture, infrastructure, application teams, and external vendors.
- Evaluate and define integration patterns (API, FIX, MQ, filebased) appropriate to each system and use case.
- Lead technical evaluation of vendor solutions, including issuing and responding to Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
- Create detailed integration documentation, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Engage with external vendors to assess product capabilities, negotiate integration requirements, and manage delivery timelines.
- Maintain ongoing vendor relationships and track product roadmaps to anticipate integration impacts.
Skillset And Experience
- Demonstrated experience integrating with external platforms (trade execution, RFQ, post trade processing, market data …).
- Strong experience with integration protocols: FIX, REST/SOAP APIs, MQ messaging (IBM MQ), SFTP.
- Good understanding of cloud and connectivity patterns (Azure/AWS, VPC, private endpoints …)
- Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Java, SQL, or similar).
- Proven record leading RFP processes and vendor technology assessments.
