Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Intangible Assets Accountant to join our finance team in Doha. This role is critical in managing and reporting on intangible assets such as intellectual property, goodwill, software, and brand value. The successful candidate will ensure accurate valuation, amortization, and compliance with international accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the accounting and reporting of intangible assets, including recognition, valuation, and amortization
• Ensure compliance with IFRS (particularly IAS 38) and relevant regulatory requirements
• Maintain detailed records of intellectual property, software assets, and goodwill
• Conduct periodic impairment testing and provide supporting analysis
• Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations teams to track asset lifecycle and changes
• Prepare financial reports and disclosures related to intangible assets
• Support audits by providing documentation and technical explanations
• Assist in developing policies and procedures for intangible asset management

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred
• 3–5 years of experience in financial accounting, with exposure to intangible assets or fixed asset accounting
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, especially IAS 38 and impairment standards
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
