The Insurance Manager at Shalina Diagnostics in Dubai builds and manages partnerships with insurers, TPAs, and corporate payers.
The role oversees the insurance cycle from empanelment and pre-authorizations through claims and collections, supporting patient access and business financial health.
Responsibilities
- Build payer empanelment and negotiate tariffs, service agreements, and renewals.
- Oversee eligibility checks, pre-authorizations, eClaimLink submissions, rejections, resubmissions, and appeals.
- Monitor receivables and ageing, reconcile remittances, and drive collections and dispute resolution.
- Report claim volumes, rejection and denial rates, turnaround times, payer revenue, and outstanding dues; identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Train front-desk, billing, and centre teams on payer requirements, documentation, and coding.
- Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, payer contracts, and internal policies.
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of UAE healthcare insurance, claims, or revenue-cycle management experience, including 2–3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in diagnostics, hospitals, or clinics is ideal.
Knowledge and skills
- Strong working knowledge of DHA insurance regulations, eClaimLink, payer contracting, and medical coding (ICD-10/CPT).
- Established relationships with UAE insurers and TPAs, with negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and billing/LIS systems.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under deadlines.
- Exposure to DOH/Shafafiya in Abu Dhabi is an advantage.
- An MBA or recognized insurance qualification is an advantage.
