We are currently hiring a
Insurance Clerk
on behalf of a prestigious client, based in their Abu Dhabi office.
Job Purpose
Support the end-to-end handling of General (Non-Motor) Insurance claims, ensuring timely assessment, documentation, and settlement in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Assist senior claims officers in evaluating claim validity, coordinating investigations, and maintaining high service standards.
Job Description
- Register, review, and process Non-Motor claims (Property, Marine, Liability, Engineering, Miscellaneous)
- Verify claim documents, policy coverage, terms, conditions, and exclusions.
- Conduct preliminary claim assessments and prepare case files for senior review.
- Coordinate with surveyors, loss adjusters, service providers, and internal teams to gather required reports and evidence.
- Follow up with clients, brokers, and partners to ensure timely submission of documents.
- Assist in evaluating liability, estimating loss reserves, and recommending claim settlements.
- Maintain accurate claim records, system updates, and documentation for audit and compliance.
- Support recovery/subrogation processes by coordinating with legal and finance teams.
- Prepare periodic claims MIS, status reports, and dashboards.
- Ensure adherence to internal SLAs, regulatory guidelines, and departmental procedures.
- Contribute to process improvements and customer service enhancement initiatives.
Experience
- Experience: 2–3 years of experience in General Claims (Non-Motor) within an insurance company.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of policy wordings claims processes, and documentation requirements. Familiarity with UAE insurance regulations and market practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office and insurance claims management systems.
- Skills: Strong communication, coordination, and customer-handling skills. High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to manage multiple cases.
