Overview
The Instrumentation Design Engineer will be responsible for creating detailed designs, specifications, and documentation that meet client standards and industry regulations.
The role involves close collaboration with project teams to ensure engineering solutions are practical, efficient, and compliant.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver
- instrumentation design and drafting
- for oil & gas facilities, including:
- Instrument layout drawings
- Hook-up drawings
- Instrument index and data sheets
- Junction box layouts and wiring diagrams
- Cable routing and tray layouts related to instrumentation
- Installation details and typical drawings
- Create and manage
- 3D instrumentation models
- using
Sp3d / E3d
- Prepare, update, and maintain
- 2D drawings
- using
AutoCAD
and
MicroStation
- Coordinate with
- Instrumentation Engineers, Electrical, Piping, Process, and Mechanical disciplines
- to ensure design integration
- Ensure compliance with:
- Project specifications
- Client standards
- International codes and industry best practices
- Incorporate review comments from clients, licensors, and internal stakeholders
- Support design activities during
- FEED, detailed engineering, and EPC phases
- Meet project schedules and ensure quality deliverables within defined timelines
