Instrumentation and Control Engineer
About This Role
Role purpose: Lead instrumentation and control engineering activities for offshore projects, including design review, system integration, and commissioning support. Senior I&C roles typically cover DCS/PLC/SCADA, SIS, ESD, and offshore hazardous area requirements.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead review of I&C design deliverables and control philosophies.
- Review instrument index, datasheets, cause & effect charts, and I/O lists.
- Coordinate PLC, DCS, SCADA, SIS, and ESD integration.
- Review vendor documents and technical submissions.
- Support FAT, SAT, loop checking, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with offshore standards, safety requirements, and hazardous area classification.
Qualifications/experience:
- Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Control Engineering.
- Offshore oil and gas I&C experience.
- Knowledge of ISA/IEC standards and control systems.
