Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Instruction & Behavior: Deliver small-group academic instruction and consistently implement both classroom-wide and individual student behavior plans.
• Daily Living Support: Assist students with personal hygiene needs, including bathroom supervision and diaper changing.
• Supervision & Safety: Provide direct supervision and assistance during high-transition times, including the lunchroom, playground, and during bus arrival/dismissal.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• 25-hours per week/ Multiple Positions Available
• Must complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department. Training must be completed within one week of hire as a condition of employment. Additional 40 hours of training is available through the Special Education department allowing the employee to increase to lane 5 upon completion.
