Key Responsibilities

• Instructional Support: Provide one-on-one or small group instruction, reinforcing lesson concepts and adapting materials to meet diverse student needs.
• IEP Implementation & Data: Follow individual IEP plans to help students achieve customized goals, and accurately record daily academic and behavioral progress data.
• Behavior & Environment: Implement positive behavioral strategies to manage disruptive behaviors and cultivate a safe, respectful, and engaging learning culture.
• Student Supervision: Monitor and ensure student safety across various school settings, including classrooms, cafeterias, playgrounds, and buses.
• Collaboration: Foster trusting, confidential, and collaborative relationships with teachers and school staff to support student success.
• Must complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department. Training must be completed within one week of hire as a condition of employment. Additional training is available through the Special Education department allowing the employee to increase to lane 4 upon completion.
