Installation Engineer - Major Projects

Role overview

Site execution and delivery

• Oversee safety, quality, productivity, corrective actions, site readiness, audits, and installation handovers.
• Plan site activities, resources, tools, storage, logistics, and material receipt; verify execution plans, costs, and S-plan milestones.
• Coordinate team handovers, scope, dates, target hours, and ongoing work flow through regular huddles.
• Track progress, costs, risks, schedule changes, documentation, timesheets, and quality feedback.
• Verify installation completion, manage final testing and outstanding items, and hand over equipment to maintenance.
• Manage variation sales and change orders, and ensure costs attributable to others are claimed and collected.

Customer and site coordination

• Act as the primary customer contact for site management and communicate proactively to support customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate site visits, customer deliverables, and resolution of non-conformities.

People and improvement

• Verify the competence and task readiness of installers, testers, and other contractors.
• Support operative safety, motivation, performance development, and identification of training needs.
• Maintain professional subcontractor relationships and ensure teams meet commitments.
• Apply and improve standard ways of working using LEAN principles, coaching, and improvement activities.
• Manage environmental aspects of installation, including waste and hazardous-material handling.

Role requirements

• Ability to manage multiple customer projects across different locations.
• Ensure installation personnel and contractors are trained, certified, competent, and capable for their tasks.
