AECOM seeks an Electrical Building Construction Inspector for building construction projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The role focuses on electrical inspections, code and safety compliance, and construction quality.
Responsibilities
- Inspect electrical work during rough-in, trim-out, and final construction stages.
- Verify compliance with UAE electrical codes, IEC standards, and project specifications.
- Inspect wiring, panels, circuits, grounding systems, safety devices, and electrical installations.
- Test systems and document findings in detailed inspection reports.
- Identify and communicate violations, deficiencies, and non-compliance to project managers and contractors.
- Recommend corrective actions and verify resolution to specification.
- Maintain accurate records and photographic evidence for project and regulatory files.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project teams to resolve electrical concerns.
- Ensure site work follows safety protocols and electrical safety regulations.
- Monitor changes in electrical codes, building standards, and industry practices.
Qualifications
- At least 8 years of experience in electrical building construction inspection or a related field.
- A diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
Workplace and onboarding
- The work location model is on-site.
- New hires must attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location.
