Inspection leadership and quality

  • Lead inspection and testing of E&I and telecom systems on NFXP topside facilities under project specifications, company codes and standards, and AFC drawings.
  • Represent the company during contractor, vendor, and subcontractor inspections; review and approve procedures, ITPs, work packages, and quality documents.
  • Coordinate quality performance, quality-plan implementation, critical interfaces, inspection readiness, and inspection and testing activities with project teams and contractors.
  • Participate in QA/QC meetings, lead project walkdowns, address quality concerns, and support closure of QOC, CAR, and NCR items.

E&I inspections and testing

  • Inspect hazardous-area E&I apparatus under IEC 60079-14 and IEC 60079-17 and inspect received electrical, instrumentation, and telecom materials.
  • Perform insulation-resistance testing on power and control cables, bus bars, transformer windings, and motors.
  • Witness testing and commissioning of field instruments, fire and gas devices, clean-agent systems, sounders, manual call points, HIPPS, and VESDA systems.
  • Witness loop and performance tests for control and shutdown loops, including cause-and-effect and interlock verification for fire and gas and ESD.
  • Conduct functional tests of motor control, lighting, HVAC, and other electrical panels and equipment, plus grounding, earth leakage, illumination, and motor tests.
  • Participate in mechanical completion walkdowns, ready-for-start-up safety reviews, and construction and commissioning punch-list identification.
  • Witness instrument calibration, custody-transfer metering skid tests, control and shutdown valve tests, and analyzer and sampling-system tests.

Hazardous-area records and surveillance

  • Review and approve subcontractor Ex registers, Ex check sheets, and Ex certificates; compile Ex documentation for topside equipment.
  • Track anomalies and non-conformities, follow up corrective actions, and verify closure against contractual requirements.
  • Conduct construction quality surveillance of materials and preservation and report to the QA/QC Lead.
  • Support project quality and safety requirements and applicable quality and safety standards.

Work location

  • The role is based in Doha and is part of an offshore inspection team; field and offshore work are central to the position.
