Inspector - Architectural

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Monitor architectural engineering work against inspection plans, drawings, codes, and specifications.
• Coordinate with senior architectural engineering staff, other engineers, and managers; review variations for schedule and cost impacts.
• Monitor contractor documents, shop drawings, inspection protocols, and compliance with the approved Quality Control Plan.
• Monitor safety during architectural installations and report progress on architectural work.
• Maintain daily site diaries, monthly progress photography, and complete site records.
• Help expedite authority NOCs, client approvals, contractor submissions, and approvals.
• Inspect architectural works, materials, finishes, and building components against approved shop drawings, specifications, and method statements; evaluate tests and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with the site team to ensure contractual obligations and project design requirements are met.
• Issue NCRs, assist with corrective actions, and ensure accurate inspection reports.
• Maintain records of submittals, inspections, tests, and executed work in accordance with contract administration procedures.
• Monitor and report HSE matters and participate in HSE training and meetings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in construction inspection, architectural supervision, or building quality assurance.
• Diploma or degree in architecture.

Workplace

• The role involves construction-site inspections and site records in Abu Dhabi.
• New hires must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location.
