• Responsibilities / Authorities

• + Primary Functions
• + Review of applicable contractual requirements (Technical standards, specifications etc.), daily coordination and end to end service with client support functions.
• + Definition and review of Quality Plan and relevant procedures.
• + Review and validation of inspection assignment documentation (technical aspects, reference documentation, schedule, milestones, reporting, logistics, co-ordination procedure, etc.)
• + Definition of Bureau Veritas interventions
• + Send Instructions to BV performing offices along with Technical specification, Internal Purchase Order and contact details.
• + Coordinate with BV performing offices for scheduling inspection
• + Liaise with BV performing offices for Execution of inspection, reporting including treatment of non-conformities (NCR’s) and other applicable deliverables
• + Ensuring quality of inspection according to BV Quality System
• + Treatment of Non-conformities / corrective actions
• + Follow up with BV performing offices for submitting the reports on time
• + Review inspection reports for correctness and completeness and submit to Client on time for review and further action.
• + Maintaining internal and external communication
• + Review and Certify internal invoices for clearing payment
• + Promotes Bureau Veritas service portfolio to clients
• + Respects security guidelines of Bureau Veritas and safeguards personal security in the working environment
• + Actively participates in the sharing of knowledge and information (Knowledge Management)
• + Prepare monthly report and submit to Client on time for review and further action.
• + Technical Expertise
• + Application of codes and standards, project specifications and procedures
• + Within his field of competency, the inspector is expected to conduct the activities stated in Primary functions.
• + Fully conversant with inspection techniques and able to review reports
• + Able to identify required Bureau Veritas interventions, based on a pre-defined Quality Plan and according to specified standards.
• + Able to review / appraise inspection procedures
• + Business Requirements
• + Report to Senior Shop Inspection coordinator about day-to-day work.
• + Report to INP / IVS Manager when there is a area of concern
• + Attend meeting with Clients as and when required and maintain cordial relationship with all Clients.
• + Self Management
• + Maintains a high degree of expertise through permanent specialized training and knowledge management.
• + Meet project development objectives
• + Should be Results oriented, Service driven and Problem solving
• + Comply with company regulations, procedures and Code of Ethics.
• + Customer Focus
• + Ensure that Inspection is carried out as per Purchase order / approved drawings / Inspection test plans and other applicable Technical specifications.
• + Maintain regular job related contact with clients and Liaises with client and/or Project Management Consultant with ease
• + Understand client needs and work to achieve successful project outcomes.
• + Develop trust and open communication with the client.
• + Regularly monitor customer satisfaction by frequent visit to Client offices.
• + HSE Requirements
• + Comply at all times with all applicable legal requirements, BV Group HSE Policies and procedures, client’s HSE procedures and practices.
• + Maintain personal work areas tidy and hazard free and report any deviation/fault/hazard immediately to the location manager/line manager/supervisor
• + Report immediately any newly identified hazard and participate in devising suitable operational control to eliminate/minimize the pertinent risk.
• + Report immediately any HSE incident and cooperate in investigation
• + Use appropriate PPE in the work area and be aware of:
• + the risks appropriate PPE will control or minimize
• + Report immediately in case the PPE is worn off or lost.
• + maintenance and inspection arrangements
