• The role is based in Basingstoke with hybrid working and three office days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Explore large and complex datasets using SQL and Python or R to identify trends, investigate challenges, and find improvement opportunities.
• Work with business stakeholders to clarify objectives and analytical requirements and translate questions into structured analysis.
• Communicate findings and evidence-based recommendations to support informed decisions.
• Use exploratory analysis, statistical techniques, and foundational modelling to investigate patterns and support predictive insights.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, BI developers, and data engineers on projects, data products, and underlying data quality.
• Own assigned deliverables, manage stakeholder expectations, document work, and contribute to continuous improvement.

What you will bring

• Practical SQL experience querying, joining, manipulating, and analyzing complex datasets.
• Hands-on Python or R experience for data manipulation, exploration, and analysis.
• Stakeholder experience translating business challenges into analytical activity.
• Business-focused analytical experience supporting decisions in commercial or operational contexts.
• Working knowledge of statistical methods and foundational modelling such as regression, classification, or clustering.
• Experience assessing data quality and interpreting analytical outputs.
• Clear communication and influencing skills to explain findings and recommendations to varied audiences.
