Role Description
The Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and security systems, to ensure stable and secure operations.
This part-time, hybrid role is based in Dubai, with a mix of on-site presence and work-from-home flexibility as business needs require.
Day-to-day tasks include monitoring system performance, managing backups and disaster recovery plans, coordinating software and hardware upgrades, and troubleshooting technical issues.
The Infrastructure Manager will implement best practices for security, access control, and data protection, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to support business applications and tools.
The role also involves vendor management, documentation of infrastructure configurations and procedures, and proactive capacity planning to support future growth.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in managing IT infrastructure, including servers (on-premises and/or cloud), networks, storage systems, and virtualization technologies.
- Solid understanding of IT security principles, including firewalls, VPNs, access control, patch management, and data protection best practices.
- Proficiency in system monitoring, performance tuning, backup and recovery solutions, and incident troubleshooting in production environments.
- Experience coordinating with external vendors and service providers for hardware, software, and connectivity services.
- Ability to document infrastructure architecture, configurations, procedures, and policies in a clear and organized manner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a part-time capacity.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to support non-technical stakeholders and explain technical concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with financial services or Islamic finance environments is an advantage, as well as an understanding of compliance and risk considerations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant professional certifications (such as CCNA, MCSE, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or cloud certifications) are beneficial.
