Role Description
The Infrastructure Manager is a part-time, hybrid role based in Dubai, with a combination of on-site presence at The Bay Indian Restaurant and some work-from-home flexibility.
The role involves overseeing IT and operational infrastructure, including networks, hardware, point-of-sale systems, and related software used in the restaurant environment.
The Infrastructure Manager will monitor system performance, manage upgrades and maintenance, coordinate with vendors and service providers, and ensure data security and backup procedures are in place.
This person will troubleshoot technical issues, document configurations and processes, and support the team in using technology tools effectively.
The role also includes planning for scalability and resilience, aligning infrastructure with business goals, and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience managing IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, POS systems, and end-user devices in a small to medium business environment.
- Strong skills in system administration, troubleshooting, and incident resolution, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple technical issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of information security best practices, backup and recovery procedures, and basic compliance requirements for handling customer and payment data.
- Experience coordinating with external vendors and service providers for hardware, software, and connectivity services.
- Ability to document infrastructure, create clear procedures, and communicate technical information in accessible language to non-technical team members.
- Strong organizational and time management skills suitable for a part-time, hybrid work arrangement.
- Previous experience in hospitality, retail, or food and beverage operations is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfort working in a multicultural environment and commitment to inclusive, respectful collaboration.
