Job Overview
The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems.
This role ensures the smooth operation of IT services across the organization and supports employees by resolving technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Technical Support
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Provide technical assistance to users, both onsite and remotely, ensuring timely resolution of IT problems.
System Maintenance
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, applications, and network devices.
- Monitor and update antivirus software and security patches to ensure system security.
Network Support
- Assist in managing local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
- Perform network troubleshooting to identify and resolve connectivity issues.
Active Directory Management
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies within Active Directory.
- Perform regular maintenance and audits of Active Directory to ensure accuracy and security.
Cloud Services
- Administer and configure Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 services, including email, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Support email migration, domain configurations, and DNS setup.
- Implement and maintain security protocols for cloud-based applications.
It Asset Management
- Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
- Support in the procurement, deployment, and decommissioning of IT assets.
Documentation
- Create and update technical documentation, user manuals, and IT policies.
- Log and track support requests using the organization's ticketing system.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Other relevant certifications in Microsoft, Network, Security (Preferred)
- 3 - 4 years of overall experience in IT operations.
- Hands on experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with Windows, macOS, or Linux operating systems.
- Experience with Active Directory management.
- Experience in MS Dynamics 365 is an added advantage.
