Information Technology Support Engineer

Minimum qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, MIS, or a related field is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in IT Support or another relevant role.
• IT certification such as ITIL is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic is required.
• Experience in an organization of similar scale (80–200 employees) is preferred.

Job summary

Technical responsibilities

• Provide prompt technical assistance to employees within the company and its premises.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Set up and configure computers, mobile devices, and peripherals; support email, printers, and collaboration software.
• Perform regular system updates, backups, and preventive maintenance; keep IT equipment in working condition.
• Receive and prioritize support requests, escalate complex issues, and follow up on open issues through resolution.
• Develop IT procedure and system documentation, user guides, and how-to manuals.
• Report on the status and performance of IT systems, equipment, and tools based on incidents, feedback, and assessments.
• Implement IT recommendations and enhancements to improve functionality and support business continuity.
• Keep abreast of IT solutions that could be used in company operations.
• Maintain records of IT procedures, processes, user guides, assets, and configurations.
• Maintain IT-owned applications and keep them up to date.
• Manage application-support vendors, procurement, software licenses, contract compliance, and cost efficiency.
