The IT Project Manager, internally titled Agile Delivery Manager, supports product development and Agile delivery for a SaaS company.
This is an individual-contributor functional specialist role focused on delivery governance, process engineering, and technical alignment; it has no direct personnel, hiring, or performance-review authority.
Key responsibilities
- Improve SDLC procedures and Agile delivery frameworks to increase team throughput and software quality.
- Translate release roadmaps into sprint backlogs and report progress and delivery metrics.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and workshops and align sprint schedules with product roadmaps.
- Resolve cross-team dependencies, operational risks, and workflow bottlenecks.
- Analyze delivery metrics including velocity, lead time, cycle time, and bug density.
- Coach teams and train staff in Scrum, Kanban, Jira administration, and practical AI use.
- Connect business requirements with development execution and track release progress for stakeholders.
- Use generative AI to create delivery dashboards and improve backlog documentation and process engineering.
- Promote Agile governance, transparent tracking, self-organizing teams, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a listed relevant field; an MBA is strongly preferred.
- Active professional Scrum or Agile certification is required, such as PSM, PSPO, or SAFe SSM.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in software delivery facilitation, SDLC process engineering, backlog alignment, or Scrum Master/Agile Delivery roles in SaaS or software products.
- The qualifications also describe 3+ years in Agile delivery, project management, or Scrum Master work as preferred.
- Relevant expertise includes Agile and SDLC practices, delivery metrics, cross-team blockers, workflow tools, and generative AI.
- Strong stakeholder management, requirements gathering, communication, facilitation, and coaching skills are required.
