Information Technology Intern - UAEN

About This Role

The IT Intern will support the Information Technology department in the day-to-day operations of technical infrastructure, helpdesk services, and IT projects. This role provides hands-on exposure to enterprise IT environments and enables the intern to develop practical skills in systems administration, network management, cybersecurity, and end-user support within Modon's dynamic and growing organization.

Roles, Responsibilities, Duties

Technical Support & Helpdesk

• Provide first-level IT support to end users for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Log, track, and resolve IT helpdesk tickets in a timely manner.
• Assist with setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.

Infrastructure & Systems

• Support the IT team in monitoring network infrastructure, servers, and systems.
• Assist in installing and configuring operating systems and business applications.
• Help maintain IT asset inventory and ensure proper documentation of all equipment.

Cybersecurity & Data Management

• Support implementation of cybersecurity best practices and policies.
• Assist in user account management including creation, modification, and deactivation.
• Help ensure regular data backups and assist in recovery procedures as required.

Projects & Development

• Participate in IT projects such as system upgrades, software rollouts, and infrastructure improvements.
• Assist in testing and quality assurance of new systems or applications.
• Support development and maintenance of internal IT documentation and knowledge base.

General

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address their IT needs.
• Adhere to company IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
• Perform any other IT-related duties assigned by the direct manager

Qualification:

• Recently graduated 2024, 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Experience and Competencies:

• 0–1 year of experience (including academic projects or lab work).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
