Full-time, permanent, site-based role in Nottinghamshire with regular travel.
The role supports a multi-site manufacturing business and combines hands-on infrastructure delivery with coordination and coaching.
The position includes planned out-of-hours maintenance and major incident response.
Compensation
- Base salary is £50,000–£55,000, plus a £7,000 car allowance.
What you'll own
- Troubleshoot complex issues across Windows Server, virtualisation, storage, networking, identity, Microsoft 365 and endpoints.
- Carry out patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation and hardening with tested and documented changes.
- Test backup, restore and disaster recovery arrangements.
- Deliver infrastructure projects through implementation, migration, testing, cutover and handover.
- Maintain technical documentation, recovery instructions and asset information.
- Coach colleagues and verify supplier fixes.
- Coordinate priorities and work with the MSP and technical suppliers.
What you'll bring
- Recent hands-on infrastructure delivery experience; experience across multiple sites is ideal.
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365 and identity management.
- Experience with virtualisation, storage, backup and recovery, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, DNS and DHCP.
- Working knowledge of PowerShell or comparable scripting.
- Technical leadership, mentoring and clear communication with operational teams.
- Manufacturing, distribution or another operationally critical environment would be useful.
- Formal line-management experience is beneficial; recent practical engineering delivery is central to the role.
- Driving licence or an alternative means of travel is required.
